Armesto’s Transport specialise in the transportation of general and express freight between Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Townsville, Cairns, Gladstone and Rockhampton. Daily services are offered between these major cities.

We have a specialized fleet that works locally delivering wood chip in south east Queensland.

The majority of our work is for High Profile Freight Forwarders, as we can meet their demands and requirements and we have the capability to manage a full range of loads.

Armesto’s Transport supplies a superior level of service from point of pick up to destination as we only employ the most professional and experienced driving personnel.

We have in our employ some of the best interstate and local drivers in Australia.

Personnel

Armesto’s continually provides their personnel with ongoing education and training and follows strict policies and procedures.

Armesto’s Transport is a leader in terms of the company’s internal policies and planning at all levels of our organisation.

Our drivers alone must meet high standard criteria for the positions they apply. Ultimately, Armesto’s is home to some of the most diligent and professional drivers in Australia many of which have been with us for many years. Their professional attitude and driving skills are well known in the industry.

Safety is always of main concern at Armesto’s Transport, we endeavour to provide a safe working environment , instilling in our employee’s a “safety first” mentality. Armesto’s is a Truck Safe Accredited transport company – a national accredited scheme managed through the Australian Trucking Association.

The staff at Armesto’s Transport understand the industry and recognise that our success comes from supplying our customers with a transport service they require.

 

Trucks

Armesto’s fleet consists of Kenworth’s, Freightliners, Western Stars, Mack’s and Volvo’s all predominantly B Double Configuration.

The fleet is constantly being upgraded to take advantage of new technologies and cost saving measures; therefore the benefits of better technologies are passed to customers when they are available.

All prime movers and trailers are maintained to manufactures specifications, ensuring minimum down time due to equipment failure.

All trailers are fitted with Air Bag suspension ensuring sensitive and fragile items like glass, computers and white goods arrive at their destination in perfect condition.

Our extensive range of trailers include Tautliners – available in straight decks, drop decks and mezzanine floors or Vans which provide more product security and safety. Various trailers are equipped with Walking Floors for ease of loading and unloading.

We also order trailers for valued customers specific requirement eg roll back leads.

Armesto’s name is sign written on blue and white prime movers and trailers. Our name is continually recognised on the Australian Highway and respected throughout the Industry.

 

Technology

All prime movers are fitted with the latest onboard engine computer management system. Satellite tracking devices are installed in every Prime Mover to monitor position and arrival of freight, and to ensure freight is always delivered to its destination in a safe and timely manner.

Armesto’s depot is equipped with the latest security and monitoring systems to ensure the safety and security of our customer’s freight and our own equipment at all times.

 

Workshop

Our depot comes complete with a modern EPA approved workshop for maintenance on the entire fleet. All maintenance work is carried out by qualified mechanics and fitters.  A strict service schedule is followed in maintaining all our Prime movers and trailers, incorporating the standards set out in our Trucksafe and NHVAS accreditation.
